    got it instantly, a perfect gift for your loved ones.
    some people who doesn't know how the system of gift card works need to read this-

    once you buy a gift card, say this one, the gift card is sent in an email to the person you asked them to deliver.
    it contains a code, which is different for every card, and is valid for one year from data of purchase(this one can be used to buy anything except Kindle eBooks & Apps).
    the email is delivered instantly after completion of payment.
    they can now buy anything from amazon, and during payment they can apply the code to reduce the price by that amount.

    for eg,if you have to buy a product of rs 3000 and have a gift card of rs 2500, then after applying the code you will just have to pay the remaining balance, i.e, rs 500 through any other mode of payment of your choice(the amount of code will be deducted from the total cost of items in your cart).
    similarly, if you buy an item worth rs 4000 and you have a gift card of rs 5000, then after applying the code, the total balance of you gift card remaining will be rs 1000, which can be used up in other purchases by appying the same code(amazon will have a record of the balance remaining on your gift card)

    CONS::

    ♦ Validity only for 1year(so use before it..)
    ♦Just the easy way to send a gift to relatives who will be overseas,but don't know exactly whether it will work fine or not because for them currency will differ according to countries
    ♦My main negative comment is that I wish Amazon would send me an e-mail message letting me know when the recipient has used the gift card. I get a message confirming my purchase but I'd like to know when it was actually used.

    very happy with the product..ideal way to gift..

    one suggestion whenever any new customers gets a gift card..it will be good to send an email giving them the details of how to claim it etc..as three of the people whom I gifted had never shopped on amazon and were wondering how to use the vouchers.

    Also the feature of informing the sender the gift cards is redeemed is very good..was delighted to get that info.

    Wish invoice is provided with the purchase. Will be useful during corporate purchases and reimbursements. Also while ordering multiple gift cards, wish there was Mail Merge kind of feature, wherein the messages need not be typed for all the gift cards repeatedly.

    Also, buying gift cards through the mobile app is a pathetic experience. Needs lots of improvements there.

    Otherwise, delivery and redemption was super simple.

    Why should this ever expire? How does it make sense shelling out money to convert that to Amazon debit money that expires in a year? What sort of money ever expires? This is utterly stupid.

    The e-gift card is a very convenient gifting option for people who shop online. Great variety of card images makes it easy to find an appropriate one for the gifting occasion. This is also a very good option as a last minute gift for those times that you have forgotten to get something.

    The redemption process cannot be simpler. You just click a link/button on the email in which the e-gift is sent and the credit gets automatically added to the Amazon.in account. This is then automatically used for all future purchases until it runs out or gets expired. Too easy!
